Information we collect

We collect personal information only when you choose to give it to us:

• Enquiry form. When you fill in the contact form, your browser opens your own email app with the details prefilled. Nothing is submitted to this website. We receive your name, email address, contact number, company, and message only once you press send in your email app.
• Job applications. When you email us your resume, we receive whatever you include in that email and its attachments.
• Direct contact. If you phone, email, or visit a branch, we receive the details you share with us.
• Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider records technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. This is used to keep the site running and secure.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or third-party tracking scripts.

The site stores a single item in your browser's session storage, named "liansin-splash-seen". It only records that you have already seen the opening animation, so it does not replay while you browse. It contains no personal information and is cleared when you close the tab.

Pages that link out to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube do not embed their tracking code. You are only tracked by those platforms if you click through and visit them.

How we use your information

We use the information you send us to:

• Reply to your enquiry, quotation request, or partnership proposal
• Assess job applications and contact shortlisted candidates
• Fulfil and support trade and wholesale relationships
• Meet our legal, tax, and food-safety record-keeping obligations

Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

We may share it with our group companies in Kuching, Sibu, Miri, and Bintulu where needed to answer you, and with service providers who help us operate, such as our website host and email provider. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep correspondence and business records for as long as needed for the purpose it was given, and for as long as Malaysian law requires us to retain business records. Unsuccessful job applications are kept for a reasonable period in case a suitable role opens, then deleted.

Keeping your information safe

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. Please note that no method of transmitting information over the internet is completely secure, and email in particular is not an encrypted channel. Do not send sensitive information such as identity-card numbers or bank details by email.

Your rights

Under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010, you may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, request a copy, ask us to correct anything inaccurate, or ask us to stop using it for a particular purpose. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before acting.

Children

This website is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.

Other websites and our app

This site links to third-party websites, including social media pages and news coverage of our community programmes. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices; please read their own policies.

The Liansin Rewards App is a separate product with its own terms and privacy notice, which apply when you use the app.
